How often do people
- place their retirement funds in an investment instrument with no research?
- invest in a new business venture knowing nothing of the company?
- make any investment without discussing the expected rate of return?
If any or all of these choices seem foolish, then nonprofits cannot expect their donors to make those same choices. When asking your supporters to invest heavily in your capital or endowment campaign (and, thereby, your organization’s future), expect that they want and need to see a detailed prospectus on the campaign, including an integrated campaign plan and strategy.
Our feasibility studies begin with an evaluation of the nonprofit’s planning to date and the creation of a five-year financial projection. Through this, we understand the depth of thinking from the nonprofit and what problems are solved or revealed in the financial model.
