Since Halloween I’ve been pondering a few facts about our priorities.
Since 1950 UNICEF’s Trick or Treat Boxes have raised over $170,000,000.
The National Retail Federation (NRF) forecast total Halloween spending—including candy, costumes, and decorations— to reach $7.4 Billion this year.
We coughed up $350 million for pet costumes.
So amortizing 65 years of Trick or Treat for UNICEF this year it collected $2.7 million or less than 1% of what we spent on pet costumes.
Imagine Just $1 protects a child from polio for life.
American’s are projected to spend $660 Billion this Holiday Season. It’s year end giving time. I’ll leave the rest to you.
